1140 (Steyning) Squadron is a growing Squadron nestled beneath the Sussex South Downs.

The Squadron has a long history dating back to the Second World War when it formed. We still have links with that time thanks to our current Honorary Secretary.

We have a growing team of experienced staff providing year round activities set within good training facilities at the Squadron.

With the South Downs on our doorstep, we are able to take advantage of easy access to the South Downs for expedition and navigation training.

We parade on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. The parades finish at 9.30pm. The Squadron doesn’t close during half term or summer holidays.

Our only stand-down is between Christmas and New Year.
